Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling

The Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling gives students the tools necessary to develop a bible counseling ministry in a local church and is a stepping-stone to a master’s level program in Biblical counseling. All counseling courses are taught online with the exception of Practicum/Discipleship Lab.

The increasing demands placed upon a pastor’s time and energy in a society where the breakdown of the American family is a paramount issue has created a growing need for church-staff counselors. Parishioners and their extended community need professional counselors to assist pastors in the ministry of counseling.  Thus, a church-staff counselor is a valuable asset, who works closely with the pastor during the process of counseling, while helping meet the needs of a growing congregation.

Courses are developed and taught by knowledgeable and experienced instructors.  Many of the instructors direct their own personal counseling ministries.  The degree program is comprised of 128 credit hours.  The core curriculum includes Bible and Theology, Language, Church Ministries and Bible Counseling disciplines.
